What experience do I have?
I have 25+ years of handling criminal cases. I understand the art of plea, negotiations and jury trials.
How many cases have I handled?
As a former prosecutor, I have handled more than 10,000 cases on behalf of the State and tried more than 100 cases to verdict. This includes everything from murder to DUI.
Will I return their phone calls and emails?
Absolutely! One of the biggest complaints I’ve heard is, “My attorney won’t call me back.” I make it a top priority to return all phone calls and respond to all emails promptly.
What’s the one “thing” I’m known for?

Preparation and here’s why:

In court, the attorney advocates for their client, representing their best interests and fighting for the best outcome through thorough preparation.

Judges expect well-prepared attorneys.
Unprepared lawyers may waste the court’s time and resources. Judges require attorneys to have a solid grasp of the law and their cases.

Opposing counsel will be prepared:
Attorneys can be sure the opposing side will be prepared to argue their case. Being unprepared puts the attorney and the client at a significant disadvantage.

What do you enjoy outside of work?
  • I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three children.
  • Indulging in a round of golf and tending to the yard is essential to my relaxation and rejuvenation.

Achievements

I attended Dreher High School, the University of Florida and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
I was on the University of Florida’s Dean’s List and received the Hugh Cunningham Applied Journalism Award.
While in law school, I was the articles editor for the ABA Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal, where I honed my skills and knowledge in the field.
As deputy solicitor for the First Judicial Circuit, I participated in countless training sessions for young prosecutors, teaching them how to conduct jury trials.
In 2023, the Orangeburg County Bar awarded me the Karen J.
Williams Award, given annually to a lawyer who brings honor, respect, and esteem to the legal profession.
